Non Slip Mono Loop Knot – How To

How To Tie A Non Slip Mono Loop Knot

I use the Non Slip Mono Loop Knot to tie monofilament and braided line to top water hard baits.

Take the line and tie an overhand knot about ten to twelve inches from the end of the line, leaving it open enough to fit your index finger.

Put the tag through the eye of the lure and pull all the way, to the overhand knot.

Now, put the tag up through the overhand knot, pulling out about 5 inches of tag.

Holding the lure, put you index finger through the overhand knot.

Now, take the tag and wrap it 4 to 10 times around the main line.Find what works best for you.

Once the wraps are finished, take the tag and put it down through the overhand Knot.

Time to lubricate your knot.

The best way, is to run the knot through your mouth and use saliva.

After the line has been lubricated, it’s time to cinch up the knot.

While holding the tag and main line, slowly start pulling the main line, while positioning the knot distance from the lure.

The loop, should be about an inch long.

You may need to cinch up a bit more using you thumb and index finger, pinching just above the knot while pulling on the main line until the knot is nice and tight, repeat if necessary.

Now trim the tag a little less then a quarter inch.

You just learned, how to tie the Non-Slip Mono Loop Knot.
